This is about the best i can do for registration pictures
what I would like to do would be pictures like this: http://www.yannarthusbertrand.com/yann2/affichage_bestiaux.php?reference=BCH-286&pais=

about the only resemblance is that my photos are also taken against a cloth background.....

Beautiful pictures, and some breeds in there that I've never heard of.

Most of the techie terms I can figure from context:
etalon, poney, cheval/chevaux, pouliniere, poulain

Jument, though? Gelding?
my google-fu indicates that might mean "mare"

I especially enjoy the examples where you can see the conditions under which he's photographing the horses.

You are making me want to register my stallion. It will be over a year before I can because he will have to go through the long drawn out registration, since we cannot trace his sire's pedigree. Sucks for us. He's a beautiful little guy who would make people want him...or other like him.
I'd love to see pictures of your minis.
did he have any registry records behind him? it gets more complicated every year to keep up with the paperwork.
His sire did but the man that had them had died or vanished, don't know which one and the dam was capable of being registered but the previous owner didn't bother. I don't blame her but now that I have my little stallion and see how wonderful he is I want to do more with him.
You totally have my sympathy. Most of my pictures of the Goof make her look like a mule, fabric backgrounds or not. In my mind, though -- in my mind she looks like that.
you are far more likely to get that good photo that shows your girl to advantage than I am with my crew,
my very prettiest two horses do not have a one really good conformation shot between them.
the very best picture I've taken in ten years of Jewellann is http://wynnsfollymini.myhosting.net/Albums/SaleAlbum/images/jlncropped.jpg
guess what caused her to hold still enough for the camera to focus....(hint, it has something to do with what is going on behind her)
